Kota Tangerang, - In the midst of the enthusiasm to improve teaching skills and community service, the HIMA English Student Association (HIMA ESA) held a fun study group at Taman Gajah Tangerang. This activity aims to provide opportunities for elementary school children around Tangerang to understand, master and learn together with students.
This activity was organized with enthusiasm by HIMA ESA, an English student organization that focuses on teaching and developing learning in the surrounding community. They are determined to help elementary school children to be more active and enthusiastic in learning.
This activity was carried out for three days, starting from 13-15 October 2023. During the three days of this activity, the atmosphere at Tangerang Elephant Park was filled with laughter from children aged between 7 and 12 years who were enthusiastic about participating in this study group. This event was hosted by students from HIMA ESA. They design interesting learning sessions, using play and story methods to make the English learning process more interesting and easy to understand.
Chief Executive of HIMA ESA study group activities, Daffa Andhika Rizky, explained, "We want to create an environment that is fun and supports children in learning. This activity not only helps them understand the material better, but also gives them confidence and courage to interact with the person they are talking to."
HIMA ESA students also provide individual support and give rewards to each child, ensuring that they understand the material and feel comfortable asking if there is something they do not understand.
This study group activity is a real example of how students can play an active role in providing benefits to the surrounding community while developing their skills. Apart from that, this also reminds us of the importance of language education in facing global challenges and competition in the future.
The head of HIMA ESA, Wafiee Aula Nufus, said: "I hope that this activity can become a sustainable activity, because judging from its development over the past three days, many students and children are very interested and enthusiastic about this study group activity. "
HIMA ESA hopes that this activity will be an encouragement for more students and community organizations to take part in efforts to improve the quality of English education among children. They believe that by working together, we can create a generation that is better prepared to face global challenges through strong English language skills.
